Can I try Lyncat Niu without commitment?

Yes. The Free plan has all the basic communication features and no expiry date. You can run a pilot with one parent group before migrating the whole school.

How many administrators can I have?

As many as you want. There's no limit per plan. Inviting new administrators is done from Settings → Team. Each administrator has their own email and password — don't share accounts.

What happens if I decide to leave the service?

You can export all your content (news, photos, family list) at any time from Settings → Data. The download is a ZIP file with JSON and the original photos.

We recommend doing a full export every quarter even if you don't plan to migrate — it's a useful extra backup besides ours (which is daily and only used in case of need).

Can families reply to news items?

Not yet. To ask a question or request something specific, families have a direct messages channel with the centre (not with a specific news item). This channel will appear in the 2.0 release we're preparing.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, from the Root plan onwards. Go to Custom domain for the details — it's a simple change (a CNAME) but involves following some steps in order to avoid breaking old links.

Where can I see the service status?

At https://status.lyn.cat you have the status dashboard with the last 30 days. There we publish any incident in real time and the SLA-based credits if applicable to your plan.
